How to open a bottle of wine without a corkscrew: three tips

UAportal has prepared three tips for opening a bottle of wine without a corkscrew. They will help you enjoy a delicious drink without hassle and problems.

Tip 1

Use your shoes as a lever to lean against the wall. Press the heel against the edge of the bottle, then press it firmly against the wall with your foot, holding the neck of the bottle with both hands. This should push the cork out so far that you can pull it out with your hand.

Tip 2

Use keys and other metal objects. Place one key or other metal object on either side of the stopper (from the top) and turn them apart at different speeds until the stopper pops out.

Tip 3

Wrap an old towel around the neck of the bottle and place it on a hard surface, such as concrete or wood. Take another flat object, such as a butter knife or spoon, and place it directly on the spot where the cork is inserted into the neck of the bottle. Then, gently tap it several times with something like a hammer until the cork comes out enough that you can safely pull it out with your hand.
