How to prevent yellowing of tulle fabrics: care tips
From regular cleaning and storage to the right washing methods, UAportal has prepared tips to help you care for your tulle fabric. You will get rid of the problem of yellowing of tulle forever.
Cleaning and Washing
When washing tulle, use a mild detergent and wash it in cold water. Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals as they can damage the fabric and cause further yellowing.
Gently squeeze out excess water and spread the tulle out to dry. Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric as this can cause stretching and deformation.
Detergents
If the stain is old or discolored, try soaking the area with a mixture of mild detergent and water before washing. Gently rub the stained area with a soft brush or sponge, and then rinse thoroughly.

If the stain persists, use a stain remover specially formulated for delicate fabrics. Always test any cleaning product on a small, inconspicuous area of the fabric before applying it to the entire fabric.
Storage
To prevent tulle from becoming brittle and discolored over time, do not store it in plastic bags or containers. Instead, use acid-free paper towels or a storage bag made of breathable fabric. Check stored tulle regularly for signs of mold, mildew, or pest infestation.
Professional Dry Cleaners
If you are not sure how to properly care for your tulle fabrics or if they require special care, contact a professional dry cleaner or the manufacturer for advice. They can provide specific recommendations based on the type of tulle and any embellishments it may have.
