How to get a broken key out of a lock using grease and a bank card

Sometimes the key can get stuck in the lock and break, locking the door. However, do not panic and break down the door.

UAportal has prepared three tips on how to get a broken key out of the lock. You will need grease, tweezers, and a bank card.

Tip 1

Use a grease, such as WD-40 or silicone spray. They will help loosen the lock mechanism and make it easier to remove the key without damage.

Tip 2

If grease does not help, use pliers or tweezers. Be careful not to use too much force, as this can do more harm than good.

Tip 3

Use a small hammer and screwdriver if necessary. An old credit card will also work. Use these objects to push the rest of the key out of the lock cylinder.
