Effective ways to remove limescale: the bathroom will shine

A clean, white-washed bathroom is every homeowner's dream. However, over time, the shine can fade, leaving behind a persistent patina that seems impossible to remove. UAportal will tell you about different methods by which you can restore the original shine and cleanliness of the bathtub.

Baking soda. This household remedy can work wonders when it comes to cleaning. Start by giving your bathtub a thorough scrubbing.  Mix 3-4 tablespoons of baking soda with 2 tablespoons of water in a bowl to form a paste. Apply this mixture to the entire surface of the tub and leave it for 20-30 minutes.

There is no need to wipe the tub dry before applying the paste. After the allotted time has elapsed, rinse off the baking soda with warm running water. If the soiling was not severe, you will be thrilled to see your bathtub getting a white shine again.

Whiteness. Before various cleaning products were available, our grandmothers used linens to whiten their bathtubs. After washing and drying the tub, plug the drain and use a sponge to apply the linen to the surface. After 20-30 minutes, rinse the tub with warm water.

While this method is effective, it is important to remember that laundry used for bleach contains chlorine and emits a pungent odor. It is important to make sure that children, animals, and people with respiratory illnesses are not in the room where this method is being used.

Hydrogen Peroxide. Another effective method is to create a 1:3 mixture of hydrogen peroxide and ammonia. Mix 100 grams of peroxide with 300 grams of ammonia. With this solution, rub the pre-dried surface of the tub. After 30 minutes, rinse with warm water.

It is important to note that,  same as bleach, this solution contains caustic components and has a strong odor. Therefore, it can not be used in the presence of children, animals or people with respiratory diseases.

Recall that UAportal has prepared some simple tips that will help quickly and effectively clean the bathroom. You will need baking soda, vinegar and lemon juice.
