On the morning of April 3, a car was blown up in Russian-occupied Melitopol. Russian media and local publics report that Maxim Zubarev, who had previously been appointed "head" of the village of Yakymivka by the occupation authorities, was injured in the explosion.

It became known that the explosion occurred on Monday morning on Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street. Emergency services are working at the scene. Zubarev did not die, he received medical assistance and was sent to the hospital.

According to the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, who cited eyewitness accounts, the cause of the loud sound was probably a "car malfunction."

"Another car malfunction was recorded in Melitopol. Melitopol residents report a car explosion on B. Khmelnytsky Avenue. Ambulances immediately arrived at the scene. We are clarifying which traitor has a short circuit in the car this time," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Later, Fedorov clarified : "It became known which of the Melitopol traitors did not have a good morning."

According to him, "a lover of all things communist, Maxim Zubarev," suffered from the car's "malfunction."

"He was one of the first to cooperate with the enemy and headed the so-called Yakymivka administration. Zubarev has always had problems with choosing the right path, so it was expected that this time he was "in the wrong place at the wrong time," Fedorov added.

Russian media reported that Zubarev was hospitalized in a serious condition in a Melitopol hospital.

Last year (November 14), the car of collaborator Zubarev was already blown up. There were even reports of his death as a result of the explosion. However, at the time, Zubarev himself had to deny his death. At the time, he wrote on social media: "I am alive, healthy and ready to work for the benefit of Yakymivka".
