Fallen near a military unit: occupants report about UAV attack near Moscow

On Wednesday, June 21, an explosion caused by an unmanned aerial vehicle occurred in the New Moscow area, not far from the village of Lukino. All operational services responded to the incident.

According to russian media, local residents heard a loud explosion in the sky above the village in the Moscow region. The incident occurred at approximately 5:00 am. It is likely that the unmanned aerial vehicle crashed in the area of the Pakhra River. There are no reports of casualties or injuries.

Another drone reportedly went down near the village of Kalininets, which belongs to the Naro-Fominsk district of Moscow Region. The wreckage of the first drone was found about 20 kilometers away.

Police, rescuers, explosives experts and representatives of the Ministry of Defense are working at the scene. It is stated that the drone wreckage fell near a military unit. It is preliminarily believed that the two drones were shot down by electronic warfare.

Moscow Region Governor Alexei Vorobyov confirmed that the two drones went down in the region, near the village of Kalininets. He noted that the place where the wreckage of the drones fell has already been cordoned off.

"As for the drones in Naro-Fominsk district in the village of Kalininets. Today, two airplane-type drones crashed at approximately 05:30 and 05:50 am on the approach to the warehouses of a military unit. The wreckage was found, there were no damages or casualties. Special services are investigating, the area is being checked," Vorobyov said.

As a reminder, on June 18, a fire broke out in a hospital for veterans under construction in the Bryansk region of Russia. The version that it was a sabotage is being considered.
