Down jacket is a mast hev for the cold season. Stylist Elena Shevchenko gave seven tips on how to choose a down jacket to be on trend this season.

Length

Down jacket should be at least to the middle of the hips and, even better, to the middle of the thighs. A shorter down jacket, as the stylist notes, is unfashionable and can easily cause kidney colds.

No fur

Whether it's faux or natural fur, it's not relevant this season. So, opt for a down jacket without fur.

No small seams

A large number of small seams on a down jacket can create a caterpillar feeling and makes you look fuller than you really are. So choose models with at least 13-15 cm between seams.

Fabric

The fabric of the down jacket should be matte and smooth. In no case, do not choose down jackets with the so-called fabric-jacket, artificial spraying, holographic spraying or sheepskin.

Collar and hardware

Prefer down jackets with a high collar, which will allow you to do without a scarf. It is also important that the fittings on the down jacket are good.

Bulky and lightweight

While measuring a down jacket, wear a sweater to avoid buying a piece that sits very snug. Note that the down jacket should be quite voluminous. It is important that it is lightweight, because  avitaminosis and fatigue can occur, and excess weight on the shoulders can give discomfort in winter,.
