Easter 2023: will the Monday after Easter be a holiday in Ukraine?
The Labor Code of Ukraine stipulates that when a holiday falls on a holiday, the next working day, i.e. Monday, must be a holiday. However, during the martial law that is in effect in our country, this norm is canceled. This applies to public companies, but private companies can provide their employees with a holiday weekend.
It will be recalled that in March 2022, after the start of a full-scale Russian invasion, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law "On the organization of labor relations under martial law". He made changes to the labor legislation - all public holidays were canceled during the martial law period.

So after Easter, which this year we celebrate on April 16, Monday, April 17, will be a normal working day for civil servants and workers of public companies, organizations, or enterprises. And Ukrainians working for private businesses can get a day off on April 17, if such a decision is approved by their management.
Let's add: Ukrainians celebrate Easter every year on different dates. The main Christian holiday began to be celebrated on the first Sunday after the first full moon, which follows the spring equinox or coincides with it. This year, the faithful of the Catholic Church will celebrate the Resurrection on April 9, and the Orthodox on April 16.
We will remind you that due to martial law in Ukraine, a curfew has been introduced. The authorities did not begin to cancel or adjust the restrictions for Easter.
