Keeping cats can bring a lot of joy to owners, but it also comes with some problems. Often, four-legged pets can harm indoor plants by eating their leaves or pushing out their pots.

One of the TikTok users shared a life hack that can scare a cat away from plants without much effort and expense. This method uses ordinary scotch tape or masking tape.

According to the blogger's advice, it is enough to simply stick the tape with the sticky side up around the flower. The possibility of getting into the sticky material will scare the animal away and prevent it from approaching the plant.

If this method is not suitable for some reason, you can try products with a strong aroma that scares the cat away. For example, you can add ground coffee to the soil, which will both nourish the plant and disgust the cat, or place a piece of lemon or orange peel in the pot.

To prevent your cat from digging in the pot, you can insert skewers into the top layer of soil. This will make it harder to get to the ground and stop them from digging.
