How to clean the bathroom carpet from mold: a useful life hack

Humidity in the bathroom can cause molds and bacteria to grow on the mat. A simple wash may not solve the problem, so it is better to use proven life hacks.

It is better to machine wash synthetic rugs at a temperature of up to 60 °C, without spinning. To preserve the color, it is better to add fabric softener.

Hand wash rubber and silicone mats. Soak them in plain water, sprinkle with detergent or gel, and wait 10-15 minutes. Then brush or sponge thoroughly and rinse under warm water.

It is also better to hand wash rugs made of natural fiber such as jute, cotton, or bamboo. Mix one cup of white vinegar, two tablespoons of any dishwashing detergent, and a little warm water. Dissolve three caps of this mixture in 10 liters of water, soak a sponge in this solution and clean the rug. It is then best to leave it to dry outside or on a balcony if possible.
