How to quickly remove grease and dirt from oven hood: it takes 20 minutes
An oven hood is an important element of the kitchen that helps remove smoke and other odors during cooking. However, if it is not cleaned regularly, grease and dirt accumulate on it, which can cause a fire.
If you don't have time for a long cleaning of your range hood, you can use a quick method. It will take you about 20-30 minutes.

- Apply vinegar or citric acid to the grease.
- Leave it on for 20-30 minutes.
- Wipe off the dirt with a damp cloth.
If you have serious dirt, it is better to use the following method.
Materials needed:
- rubber gloves
- glasses
- sponge or brush
- hot water
- dishwashing detergent
- vinegar solution (1 part vinegar to 3 parts water)
- citric acid (1 tablespoon per 1 liter of water)
- cooker hood cleaner (optional)
Step-by-step instructions:
- Disconnect the hood from the power supply.
- Remove the grease filter.
- If the filter is metal, soak it in hot soapy water or vinegar solution for 10-15 minutes.
- If the filter is paper, simply replace it with a new one.
- Wipe the hood body with a damp cloth.
- If there is stubborn dirt on the casing, use a brush or hood cleaner.
- After cleaning, wipe the hood with a dry cloth.
Note that the hood should be cleaned regularly to prevent grease and other dirt from drying out. Do not use abrasive materials for cleaning as they can damage the surface.
