You will damage the washing machine: why you shouldn't pour liquid detergent into the powder compartment
How to wash with laundry gel correctly

Most of us, when we wash clothes with liquid detergents or gels, pour them into the laundry detergent compartment, where you usually put the laundry detergent. However, this habit can cause the washing machine to deteriorate and start to smell unpleasant.

According to some experts, this is not the best way to use laundry detergent because laundry gel is usually concentrated and very thick, which means that its residue does not get rinsed out in the powder compartment and remains in the washing system. This will eventually cause the laundry detergent to start to mold and produce an unpleasant odor.

It's better to pour the laundry liquid into a cap and throw it into the washing machine drum with your clothes, experts say.

"For best results, it is recommended that you put the laundry detergent in the cap and put it in the drum with your laundry. This will help ensure that your laundry gets a good wash," the report says.

Here are some additional tips for using laundry detergent:

  1. Use a detergent that is designed for your type of washing machine.
  2. Read the instructions on the bottle before use.
  3. Do not overuse the amount of detergent.
  4. Pour the detergent into the cap and put it in the drum with the laundry.
  5. Clean your washing machine regularly, especially the detergent compartment.
