To avoid being poor: on which days it's better to skip washing your head
It's better not to postpone washing your head until the evening

Hair has long been attributed various mystical meanings, often seen as a symbol of life force. Our ancestors believed that certain days of the week, and even specific times of the day, should be chosen for washing one's hair.

Mondays were considered challenging days. According to folk beliefs, any work started on this day would be in vain, and washing your hair on Mondays was thought to bring bad luck that would last all week. There was also a belief that if a girl washed her hair on a Monday, her future husband would turn out to be a heavy drinker.

Fridays were also considered unfavorable days for hair washing, as it was believed that it could "wash away your good luck" and bring trouble in matters of love.

Wednesday and Thursday were generally regarded as neutral days, according to folk beliefs. You could wash your hair on Sundays as well, but it was not advisable to "wash away your good luck" or "invite poverty."

On the other hand, Saturday and Tuesday were not only considered permissible days for washing your hair, but it was believed that doing so could bring good luck and help you prosper.

Additionally, there was a belief that one should avoid washing their hair before important meetings or significant tasks to "prevent washing away good luck." However, in some beliefs, it was better to wash your hair before important events and meetings to ensure that "your thoughts are clear and clean."

Washing your hair in the morning was also considered a way to start the day "fresh and clean." Whether you believe in these signs and taboos or not, the choice of when to wash your hair is ultimately yours.
