Forget about this trifle forever: 3 simple ways to find the edge of the tape in a second
Scotch tape is an extremely useful product with numerous functions. Many people are familiar with the minor annoyance of being unable to find the edge of the tape. Such a simple task can consume a lot of time, effort, and patience.
If the tape or duct tape is very thin and sticky, it can be challenging to locate the starting point. Therefore, it's useful to know a few simple tips that will help you overcome this issue.

- A simple black or dark pencil, marker, or felt-tip pen can assist you in quickly finding the edge of the tape. Slide the pencil or marker across the surface of the tape. This will instantly reveal the seam as graphite particles adhere to the sticky residue at the tear line. Afterward, you can easily pick up the tape;
- You can also use flour, crushed chalk, baking soda, or another type of powder. Dip your finger into the powder and rub it along the roll of tape. The tape's edge will become visible as a white line, just like in the previous method. The powder will accumulate at the seam;
- To save time, prevent nail breakage, and avoid frustration with the tape, you can attach a small object to the end of the adhesive tape. This object could be a coin, a paperclip, or a piece of cardboard. Alternatively, you can fold the free tip in half each time, ensuring it protrudes above the tape's surface. This way, you won't have to search for the starting point every time.
