In May, some pensioners will not receive payments: what is the reason

In Ukraine, war veterans and victims of Nazi persecution received payments in May every year. However, this year such citizens will not receive one-time assistance.

The Verkhovna Rada wants to make a corresponding decision. This is reported by " Retired ".

It is noted that they want to postpone the payments until the Independence Day of Ukraine - on August 24.

"Every year before the Independence Day of Ukraine, the participants of hostilities are paid a one-time cash payment in the order and amounts determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine within the limits of the relevant budget allocations established by the Law on the State Budget of Ukraine," the comparative table of the document states.

It is not known exactly what the amount of one-time assistance will be, but the exact amount will probably be announced closer to the actual date. It is specified that in 2022 war veterans and victims of Nazi persecution received assistance in the amount of:

  • disabled persons of the 1st group as a result of the war - UAH 4,421;
  • disabled persons of the 2nd group - UAH 3,906;
  • disabled persons of the 3rd group - UAH 3,391;
  • persons who have special merits to the Motherland - UAH 4,421;
  • participants in hostilities - UAH 1,491;
  • family members of the deceased - UAH 966;
  • participants in the war - 612 hryvnias.

We will remind you that earlier the Government made a decision to pay pensions to Ukrainians even in the absence of seniority. This will affect some categories of pensioners.
