"Meat assault of the Wagnerites": border guards in Bakhmut immediately eliminated 29 militants and at least 40 "three hundred"

Defenders from the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Bakhmut direction repelled the "meat assault of the Wagnerites". The confrontation lasted half a day.

As reported by the State Border Service, the positions of our heroes were attacked simultaneously by six groups of attack aircraft from among the so-called private military company "Wagner", to which Russia actively recruits prisoners of colonies.

"The defense forces of Ukraine, including units of the State Border Service, are using extraordinary efforts to hold back the advance of the Russian occupying forces on the fortress city of Bakhmut. The enemy concentrated its main efforts on an attempt to break through the defense line in the industrial zone of the fortress city of Bakhmut. In this location, the main attack of the enemy forces stood at one of the strongholds of the border guards. The battle began in the evening, and the confrontation continued until late at night," said the DPSU.

The border guards reported that during the attack by the Wagnerites, Ukrainian defenders "destroyed the invaders with mortars, heavy machine guns, and sniper weapons."

"Our defenders threw dozens of fragmentation grenades at the mercenaries who were climbing through the ruins to the trenches in the nearby area. Despite the superiority in manpower and the active use of artillery, the Russian raids could not achieve success. The fire caused significant losses to the enemy, so the enemy lost 29 invaders only by being killed, and at least 40 people were injured," the report says.

We will remind you that earlier the Ukrainian military conducted a number of successful counterattacks near Bakhmut and "struck" the enemy. The fighters of the 3rd separate assault brigade were engaged in the elimination of the enemy.
