Maliar: Ukrainian Armed Forces launched an offensive in several directions in the east
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Malyar informed about the situation at the front as of June 24. According to her, heavy fighting continues in all areas of the southern front.
Malyar added that the enemy is on the defensive in this area and is trying to stop our offensive. "At the same time, the enemy suffers significant losses of personnel, weapons and equipment," she added.
The Defense Ministry spokesperson also noted that the Eastern group of troops launched an offensive in several directions simultaneously.
"In the direction of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Bohdanivka, Yahidne, Klishchiyivka, Kurdyumivka. The enemy tried to advance in the Kupianske, Lyman and Maryinka sectors, but failed to make any headway," said Malyar.
According to her, the enemy launched air strikes and carried out artillery attacks in the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk sectors.

As a reminder, Ukrainian troops in the Bakhmut sector recently captured enemy dugouts and t renches. The third assault brigade entered the enemy's positions and occupied their trenches to continue fighting.
