How to make Italian semifreddo dessert at home

Semifreddo is a dessert that is simply created for the hot summer. If you are making it for children, do not add liquor.

Ingredients

- Cream – 500 ml

- Lemon – 2 pcs.

- Sugar – 150 g

- Chicken eggs – 3 pcs.

- Limoncello liqueur – 50 ml

- Mint – 50 g

- Salt – to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Wash the lemons, grate the zest, and squeeze the juice out of them.

2. Separate the yolks from the whites and whisk with 100 g of sugar until foamy. Add the lemon juice and limoncello and beat again.

3. Whip the cream with the rest of the sugar. The mass should increase in volume. Add a pinch of salt to the whites and beat until stiff peaks form.

4. Add the whipped cream to the mixture of egg yolks, sugar, and lemon. Add the whites. Mix gently.

5. Cover the molds with foil, pour the mixture, and put them in the freezer for 5 hours.

6. Remove the molds, cover with a plate, and turn them over. Cut the dessert into slices and decorate to taste.
