Voluntary mobilization: Who will not be drafted from February 1

Ukraine has extended martial law until February 14, 2024. As a result, men aged 18 to 60 are subject to mobilization.

There are certain categories of citizens who can be mobilized only if they want to be. In particular, we are talking about reserved employees of enterprises, state authorities, local governments, and other government agencies.

Also, employees of enterprises (institutions, organizations) that were involved in the ATO and were in the areas of its conduct, ATO participants who were in volunteer formations and were in the areas of the operation, which were later included in military formations and law enforcement agencies, are not subject to mobilization.

In addition, only ATO participants who were in volunteer formations and were in the areas of the operation and who were not later included in military formations and law enforcement agencies can be mobilized voluntarily.

Persons whose close relatives were killed or went missing while deterring Russia's military aggression cannot be called up. Persons whose close relatives were killed or went missing during the ATO (participants) or from among the military formations may be mobilized voluntarily.
