  1. Russia often shoots down its own planes.
  2. It is not the first time that Russia has committed provocations and killed Ukrainian prisoners and then blamed the Ukrainian military.

Downed planes:

On February 24, 2022, on the first day of the full-scale invasion, Russian air defense shot down a Russian military transport aircraft An-26 near the village of Devitsa, Voronezh region.

In total, during the war, more than 10 cases of destruction of its aircraft and helicopters by Russian air defense were recorded, some of which are widely known and recorded on video.

On July 18, 2023, over the occupied Alchevsk, Luhansk region, a video showed the destruction of a Su-34 aircraft by Russian air defense.

On January 14, 2024, a Russian A-50 (flying radar based on the Il-76) was shot down over the Sea of Azov, about 150 km from the front line, and most Russian media stated that the plane was shot down by Russian air defense. Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Ukraine had nothing to do with the downing of the A-50.

Murders of prisoners:

On July 28, 2022, an explosive device was detonated in the house of detention of Ukrainian prisoners of war in the village of Olenivka, Donetsk region. 53 Ukrainian prisoners were killed and 130 wounded. The Russians accused the Ukrainian army of blowing up the building, although they did not provide any evidence. According to the surviving prisoners, the explosion was not the result of shelling, but looked like a powerful bomb that could only have been planted by the Russians themselves.

There are dozens of cases of Russians killing prisoners, some of which they brag about and post on the Internet.

Russian propaganda is constantly spreading the theme that Ukraine does not want prisoner exchanges, and the Russians have been doing this since 2014 to provoke dissatisfaction with the actions of the Ukrainian government in Ukrainian society. Then, too, there were no exchanges for years.

There is only one guilty party in all the troubles of the war - Russia.
