The destruction of an enemy Su-25 in the Maryinka area was caught on video
On April 7, Ukrainian defenders managed to land a Russian Su-25 "Hrach" attack aircraft in Donetsk region. It happened near Maryinka.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "Good news. An enemy Su-25 was destroyed in the Maryinka area, in Donetsk region," the message reads.
The Command of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Facebook that our paratroopers were involved in the landing of an enemy attack aircraft, the cost of which is approximately $11 million.
"Today, on April 7, in Donetsk region, an air defense unit of one of the military units of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down another Russian Su-25 Hrach attack aircraft," the Command added.
There was also a video of the downed plane falling and exploding upon hitting the ground.

Su-25 is an attack aircraft developed in the USSR. It is actively used both in Ukraine and in Russia.
The attack aircraft has an armored cabin that protects against fragments and bullets of caliber up to 12.7 mm, and in some, the most threatening directions, up to 30 mm projectiles.
All vital systems are duplicated and also placed in such a way as to make it difficult for the enemy to defeat them. The engines are spaced on both sides of the fuselage to prevent them from being disabled by a single missile from a MANPADS.
The aircraft is also equipped with a thermal trap firing system to counter missiles with a thermal homing head.
The armament of the Su-25 consists of unguided rockets and bombs, there is the possibility of using Kh-25ML and Kh-29L guided air-to-ground missiles with semi-active laser guidance.
The Su-25 can also use short-range R-60 air-to-air missiles.
Cannon armament – 30-mm rapid-fire cannon with ammunition of 250 shells, it is possible to hang additional containers with cannon armament.
