Best with sour cream: a recipe for lentil cream soup
Lentil soup is very healthy and light, with a spicy flavor. It is perfect for people on a diet.
Ingredients:
red lentils - 300 g
carrots - 150 g
onions - 150 g
garlic - 4 cloves
tomato paste - 1.5 tbsp
ground cumin - 1.5 tsp.
ground sweet paprika - 1 tsp.
ground black pepper - 1/4 tsp.
refined sunflower oil and/or olive oil - 4 tbsp.
vegetable broth or water - 800 ml
salt, lemon juice - to taste
parsley, sour cream (when serving) - optional
Method of preparation;
1. Dice the onion, grate the carrots, chop the garlic.
2. Put the onion and garlic in a preheated pan with oil. Fry for 6 minutes.
3. Add tomato paste, paprika, cumin, and pepper. Fry for 1 minute.
4. Add water or broth.
5. Add the lentils and carrots. Add salt. After boiling, cook for another half hour.
6. Use an immersion blender to puree the soup.
7. Serve with sour cream.
