If your body needs something healthy and simple in the spring. There is a way out - cook asparagus. This vegetable is a storehouse of vitamins and minerals, containing folic acid, iron, and magnesium.

Asparagus can be eaten as a separate vegetable or used in various dishes. If you like easy-to-prepare dishes, then keep the recipe from UAportal.

Wash the asparagus, cut off the hard tips (usually about 2-3 cm).

Prepare a large pot of water and add a little salt. Bring the water to a boil.

Put the asparagus in the boiling water and cook it for 2-5 minutes (depending on the thickness of the stem) until it is soft but not falling apart.

Once the asparagus is tender, remove it from the water and cool it under cold water or in ice water to stop the cooking process.

If desired, you can serve the asparagus with butter, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

Asparagus can also be cooked on the grill, in the oven, or in a pan, using oil, salt, and pepper to taste.

Take a baking sheet and cover it with parchment paper. Place a bunch of washed asparagus, season with salt and pepper, and top with lemon slices. Bake in the oven for up to 20 minutes at 180 degrees.
