Not only berries and fruits can be frozen! We're already used to frozen carrots, zucchini, peas and even corn, but frozen beetroot is still not popular. This is a great option for preserving its flavour and benefits during the winter months, prostoway writes.

Sweet and flavourful beetroot can be frozen both cooked and raw. However, from our experience, we advise you to froze it boiled. You can not only use them individually but also bake them in the oven until they are soft.

We recommend cutting the peeled and ready-to-use beetroot the way you plan to use it. Place the beetroot portions in a single layer on a special baking tray and freeze. Carefully transfer the frozen pieces to a hermetically sealed container. It can easily be stored in the freezer for up to 4 months, provided the temperature does not fluctuate too much and you avoid repeated freezing.
