SOF soldiers rescue members of Wagner group that were drowning after Kakhovka dam explosion
The Special Forces captured the occupiers

Five Russian occupants, rescued by the Special Operations Forces in Kherson region, have replenished the exchange fund of Ukraine. By blowing up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, the Russian command did not take into account that its own soldiers might be injured. After the water spill, dozens of occupants remained cut off from a large land in flooded positions in the Kherson region.

This was reported by the press service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

One of these positions was about to be submerged. Having received information about the possibility of capturing the enemy, the SOF soldiers went after them, special forces say.

Five enemies were loaded onto boats. At that time, they were attacked from enemy positions, despite the fact that their "comrades" were there.

Under the cover of machine gun fire, the SOF fighters managed to bring all the prisoners to the coast alive. The Special Forces were not injured during the mission.

Already on the shore, it turned out that the occupants belong to the "Storm Z" unit.

These units are recruited according to the same principle as the Wagner unit: most of the unit's members are convicted Russians serving their sentences in prisons. The Russian leadership has promised them amnesty for their participation in the war against Ukraine.

As a reminder, soldiers from the Special Operations Forces unit tracked down and neutralized a Russian observation post. It happened in the southern part of the frontline.
