Zelensky on the events in Russia: Putin has to hide from those he armed himself
Zelensky on the events in Russia

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has commented on the events that are currently unfolding in Russia. He believes that this was to be expected.

According to the head of state, the Russian dictator is now reaping the rewards of what he has been striving for. "Anyone who chooses the path of evil destroys himself. He sends columns of soldiers to destroy the life of another country, but cannot keep them from running away and betraying when life resists," he said.

He reminded that the Russian dictator terrorizes the Ukrainian population with missiles, sends hundreds of thousands of people to war, but when the war comes to his territory, Putin "barricades himself" in the Moscow region from those whom he has armed himself .

"Russia has long masked its weakness and stupidity of its rule with propaganda. And now there is so much chaos that no amount of lies can hide it. And all this is due to one person who frightens us with 1917 again and again, although he is not able to lead to anything else at all," the President said.

He called Russia's weakness obvious and full-scale. "And the longer Russia keeps its troops and mercenaries on our land, the more chaos, pain and problems it will create for itself. This is also obvious. Ukraine is able to protect Europe from the spread of Russian evil and chaos," Zelenskyy summarized.

As a reminder, the founder of the private military company Wagner, Yevhen Prigozhin, accused the Russian regular army of a missile attack on the rear camps of its mercenaries. The Russian Ministry of Defense considers this statement a provocation. Prigozhin promised to "punish" those who attacked the rear camps of the private military company. On June 24, Prigozhin's militants seized administrative buildings in Rostov and moved to Voronezh. Prigozhin promised that Wagner's men would reach Moscow and take over.
