In Ukraine, pensioners can receive more than UAH 5,300 in scholarships: how to apply

In Ukraine, a scholarship is being introduced for some pensioners. Payments will be provided in addition to the basic pension.

In particular, such an innovation appeared in Kyiv. A scholarship of the Kyiv mayor was established there, which will be available to outstanding figures in physical culture and sports, reports " On Retirement ".

Citizens who have reached the age of 60 and live and are registered in Kyiv can be nominated for a scholarship. In particular:

• athletes who took 1-6 places at the Olympic, Paralympic, and De-Olympic Games and champions, prize-winners of international and all-Ukrainian level sports competitions;

• coaches who have been actively working in the field of physical education and sports for at least 30 years;
• specialists in the field of physical culture and sports - for active activity in the field of physical culture and sports for at least 30 years and a significant contribution to the development of the field.

Scholarship recipients will be determined by the Competition Committee. Applicants can be nominated

• Kyiv Council of Veterans of Physical Culture and Sports;
• Association of Sports Veterans of Ukraine;
• physical culture and sports associations and departments;
• sports federations;
• relevant public organizations.

No more than 50 scholarships will be awarded each year. They will pay annually in the amount of two subsistence minimums for one able-bodied person, which is more than 5,300 hryvnias.

We will remind you that earlier the Government made a decision to pay pensions to Ukrainians even in the absence of seniority. This will affect some categories of pensioners.
