Mysterious and captivating, cats have always been the subject of curiosity and legends in various cultures around the world. They are considered one of the most mysterious pets and have many signs and beliefs associated with their presence. Let's take a look at some of them.

According to Ukr.Media, there are numerous interesting superstitions and beliefs associated with cats in different countries worldwide. In the Netherlands, for example, cats are considered gossip who can spill your innermost secrets. Therefore, people refrain from having important or personal conversations when a cat is in the room, in case it is eavesdropping.

In Japan, there is a superstition that if a cat washes its face with its paws, it means that guests are approaching the house. Similar superstitions about cats exist in the United States.

In Italy, they believe that hearing a cat sneeze is a good sign, and it may mean that money will come to you soon. A cat can also add a happy touch to a wedding day with its sneeze.

Black cats provoke the most superstition, perhaps due to Egyptian beliefs or European beliefs related to witches. One of the beliefs states that if a black cat enters a ship, it will sink on its next journey.

According to German traditions, cats can help a woman who dreams of getting married if she "feeds the cat from her shoes." Unfortunately, however, this superstition does not provide instructions on how to proceed.

In some parts of Indonesia, cats are associated with the weather, and they can cause rain if they are doused with water. This belief dates back to the time when cats were considered the cause of rain.
