You will have to pay more: which utilities will rise in price from March 1

In the spring of 2024, tariffs for some housing and utility services may be recalculated. The cost of electricity and gas will be revised.

At the same time, the cost of electricity will remain unchanged until the end of the heating season.

This was stated on Hromadske Radio by Oleh Popenko, chairman of the Union of Consumers of Public Utilities.

According to Popenko, consumers will have their electricity and gas tariffs revised. New tariffs are likely to be approved in the spring of 2024.

"I think that we are likely to receive new electricity bills this year on April 1 or May 1, when the cost of electricity will be increased again. And in addition to that, the cost of gas will also increase, so we are going to have major changes in our bills in 2024," he said.

Meanwhile, Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko said that Ukrainians will pay for electricity at the current tariffs until the end of the heating season.

"There are no plans to increase tariffs for households until the end of the 2023/24 heating season," he said.
