Cooks explained why you shouldn't throw dumplings into boiling water
When cooking dumplings, they can overcook or stick together. But there are simple methods to make the dish perfect.

- Dumplings can overcook, especially if you use frozen dumplings because their temperature is different from that of boiling water.
- Dumplings stick together because the starch on the surface of the dough sticks together in boiling water.

Here are some tips on how to cook dumplings properly:
- Before placing frozen dumplings in the water, let them come to room temperature; you can soak them in water for a few minutes.
- Use water with a temperature that does not exceed 50 degrees Celsius.
- Add some cold water during cooking to maintain a consistent temperature.

How to cook perfect dumplings:
- Take a pot with 1.5-2 liters of water.
- Add 2-3 bay leaves and 2-3 peppercorns to taste.
- Add salt according to your taste.
- Once the water reaches the desired temperature, add the dumplings.
- Stir them constantly to prevent them from sticking together.
- Cook for about 5-10 minutes and then transfer to a colander.
- Serve with sour cream, butter or other sauces to taste.
Steaming dumplings is also a good option. For this, you need a few cups of water and 15-20 minutes of steaming. The dish is served immediately after cooking, and for a richer flavor, you can sprinkle it with ground black pepper or add sauces to your liking.
