No need to clean every day: which cats shed the least

When choosing a cat that sheds the least, you should understand that there are no completely hairless cats – even sphinxes have several layers of hair. Shedding is a natural process for all breeds, but its intensity can vary depending on the type of coat.
In apartments, due to the changed temperature regime, shedding can last all year round, so the choice of breed becomes an urgent issue, especially for allergy sufferers. The LACvets publication has provided a list of cat breeds that shed rarely and lightly.
The Devon Rex breed is considered one of the least shedding. Their short, curly hair hardly ever falls out, and cats of this breed are characterized by a good temperament and great curiosity. They easily adapt to any household, including children and other animals.

The Bengal cat also has minimal shedding, which is most intense during childhood. In adulthood, their leopard hair hardly falls out. Owners of Bengals note their playfulness and need for active communication.

A short-haired Oriental cat with a smooth coat without an undercoat is also on this list. Its coat is close to the body and does not create a lot of hairs in the house during molting. At the same time, these cats are very sociable and graceful.

Sphynxes have almost no hair, making them a good choice for those looking for minimal shedding. However, their skin needs special care, including regular wiping and bathing. Sphynxes are very attached to their owners and have a calm disposition.

The Kurilian Bobtail Shorthair is a short-haired breed whose coat does not shed or form tangles. The only serious shedding in these cats occurs in childhood, and in adulthood, shedding is almost invisible.
