The Government has simplified the mechanism for allocating housing subsidies, which will make it easier to apply for them. Citizens will now be able to submit a simplified application without having to declare their income. In addition, the new rules will set restrictions on the consideration of certain incomes and property of certain categories of the population.

In particular, car ownership will no longer be taken into account when determining subsidies for foster families, large families, families with three or more children, and families with a disabled person. Also, the income of household members who stay abroad for more than 60 days will not be taken into account when determining social standards.

In addition, the amendments provide for the accrual of subsidies and benefits for residents of regions in the zone of active hostilities or under occupation, where social protection authorities do not function. These individuals will be credited with housing and utility allowances based on the data contained in the registers of recipients of the Unified Social Information System. Payments will be made via bank cards.

Earlier, the Pension Fund named the categories of Ukrainians who can receive a subsidy even without meeting one of the conditions.
