How to make the most delicious pumpkin porridge for Halloween according to your grandmother's recipe
With the arrival of fall, many people start looking for recipes that make use of seasonal produce. Pumpkin is one of the symbols of this time of year, and pumpkin porridge is a great way to utilize it in a culinary way.

Try this pumpkin porridge recipe from food blogger Anny Cooking, which even those who are not a big fan of pumpkin will love.
Ingredients:
- 500 grams of pumpkin
- 100 grams of rice
- 300 milliliters of water
- 400-500 milliliters of milk
- Two tablespoons of sugar
- A generous pinch of salt
- Butter and honey for serving (to taste)
If you want to add a little variety to the flavor of your porridge, try adding one spoonful of vanilla sugar instead of one spoonful of regular white sugar,
Preparation:
- Start by peeling and grating the pumpkin.
- Put the pumpkin, rice, water, sugar and salt in a saucepan. Bring it all to a boil.
- Once it's boiling, pour the milk into the pot and cook on minimum heat, stirring occasionally. Continue this process for 25-30 minutes.
- If the porridge becomes too thick, add more milk or vice versa, if you like thicker porridge, do not add more milk. It's a matter of your taste and preferences.
- Once the porridge is homogeneous and cooked, turn off the heat and let it cool down a bit. Serve with a piece of butter and a spoonful of honey.
