In ancient times, it was believed that certain actions involving doors could lead to serious problems. For instance, sleeping near the door was discouraged, as it was believed to increase the risk of falling ill or experiencing insomnia.

It was also considered inadvisable to leave the door unlocked overnight, as the door lock was believed to serve as protection against criminals and malevolent spirits.

Our ancestors believed it was ill-advised to place photos or calendars depicting people near the front door. Such items were thought to weaken the house's energy protection and could potentially lead to financial problems and family disputes.

Additionally, it was forbidden to simultaneously open both the inner and outer doors, as doing so was believed to invite malevolent spirits to take up residence in the house.

Furthermore, in ancient times, there was a belief that evil spirits might knock on the door and attempt to gain entry. Therefore, opening a door that had been knocked on but received no answer was prohibited. People would cross themselves and recite the Lord's Prayer.
