The smell that wafts through the kitchen always promises a delicious meal. If you're tired of the usual apple charlotte, try making an unusual coconut apple pie.

It tastes better than cake and is for true gourmets. Here's a simple recipe for this wonderful dessert from the Grandma's Recipes website.

Ingredients:

  • Soft butter - 85 g
  • Sugar - 75 g
  • Eggs (medium) - 2 pieces
  • Flour - 135 g
  • Baking powder - 3 g
  • Coconut flakes - 35 g
  • Milk - 65 ml
  • Apples - 2 pieces
  • Vanilla sugar

Preparation:

  1. Sift the flour into a large bowl, add the baking powder and coconut flakes, then mix the mixture.
  2. In a separate clean bowl, soften the soft butter, add the sugar and vanilla sugar, and then mix them with a mixer.
  3. Gradually pour the beaten eggs into this mass and continue mixing with a mixer.
  4. Gradually add the prepared mixture of flour and coconut in two stages, as well as milk (also added in portions). Mix it all well with a spatula.
  5. Put the finished dough into the prepared mold (I used a mold with a diameter of 18 cm).
  6. Spread the thinly sliced apples evenly on top, as shown in the photo, and bake the cake for one hour at 160 degrees.
  7. The finished cake can be sprinkled with powdered sugar before serving. This cake is suitable for both hot and cold serving.
