How to clean a kitchen hood with vinegar and baking soda

Tip 1
Before cleaning, unplug the power cord to avoid electric shocks from water or harsh chemicals.

Remove all dirt and debris from the hood surface before attempting to remove stubborn grease build-up.

Use hot water mixed with dish soap and wipe the surface with a sponge or cloth until the dirt is removed.

After removing the dirt, mix baking soda in warm water and apply it to the grease stains with a brush or sponge. Leave on for 10 minutes and then rinse with cold water.

Finally, wipe the entire surface of the hood with vinegar mixed with hot water to remove all traces of grease. Then wipe dry with paper towels or microfibre cloths to ensure that no streaks or marks remain on the surfaces.
If stubborn grease is stuck to the fan blades of your range hood, try wiping them with alcohol first and then applying a baking soda paste. This will help to effectively remove even heavy dirt from metal surfaces.
