Carotenoids
Orange fruits and vegetables contain them in large quantities: carrots, pumpkin, peppers, nectarines, peaches, oranges, as well as spinach, kale, lettuce, red peppers, zucchini, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, corn, avocados, gooseberries, and eggs.
Carotenoids protect the eye from harmful UVA and UVB radiation.
Fish
Fatty types of fish such as salmon, tuna, mackerel, and sardines contain a lot of omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids, which are very good for the eyes and reduce the risk of AMD (macular degeneration). They also help to avoid dry eye syndrome.

Fruits and vegetables
Daily consumption of fruits and vegetables is very useful in general for our health. They contain antioxidants, carotenoids, anthocyanins, and minerals that help keep the eyes in good condition.
In particular, Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that promotes the synthesis of collagen, protects the eyes from external harmful effects, reduces the risk of cataract formation, and eases the progression of glaucoma.
Vitamin C is found in red peppers, tomatoes, fresh and sauerkraut, as well as red and Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, currants, strawberries, gooseberries, raspberries, blueberries, cranberries, blackberries, acerola, kiwi, and citrus fruits.
