Scientists have discovered Mesolithic stone tools and fragments of Bronze Age pottery in the strait between Wales on the island of Skomer. The found artifacts belonged to different eras: stone tools from the Mesolithic era and fragments of Bronze Age ceramics.

The Mesolithic stone tool dates back about 9,000 years and may have been used by ancient hunters to process seal skins. Another artifact is a fragment of an urn from the Bronze Age, which is about 3750 years old.

The found artifacts indicate that Skomer Island was inhabited already in the Mesolithic era, which is extremely interesting for scientists studying the history of human civilization.

As a reminder, a skillfully crafted 300 thousand years old boomerang was found in Germany.
