- Impulse purchases. It's crucial to purchase high-quality planting materials, considering the climatic conditions of the region. For instance, plants intended for southern regions may not thrive in the central part of the country.
- Avoid premature plant covering. This can lead to crop diseases and inadequate frost protection due to elevated temperatures.
- Refrain from using herbicides. Keep in mind that some products are ineffective during the colder months.
- Avoid unnecessary soil replacement in the greenhouse. It's better to clean the area of plant debris and treat it with a 5% copper sulfate solution.
- Don't leave your beds uncovered. It's advisable to sow green manure to maintain soil fertility.
