This is reported by the official portal of the department.
The sarcophagi are two meters long and half a meter wide, and they were decorated with carved incomplete relief images - symbolic figures in the form of disks of flower garlands that symbolized the cycle of life and death.
Employees of the Israel Antiquities Authority noted that the sarcophagi probably belonged to a wealthy Roman or Romanized family.
As a reminder, archaeologists in Israel have discovered stone burial chests dating back to 1850 years ago.
