Incredible stories from the front: how the Bible and the rosary saved the soldiers (photo)

Two Ukrainian soldiers at the front were saved from mortal wounds by a miracle. One had a book of the New Testament, the other had a rosary with a cross around his neck.

The first incredible story was shared by volunteer Oksana Korchynska on Facebook. She said that a few days ago, a wounded Ukrainian defender with a stomach wound was brought to the front-line stabilization point.

"According to the relatives, the explosion was near him, the debris is large, and we are preparing for the worst. The wound is extensive on the outside, the remains of the pages and the blue cover are visible, the doctors are preparing for surgery, they are doing an ultrasound, shock - there is no debris inside the abdominal cavity," she said.

Korchynska says that the fighter had a waist bag with documents and a book of the New Testament next to his body armor.

"From the bag, we take out the thing that saved the life of the soldier - the New Testament, cut in half. He took the fatal fragment on himself. God and the Holy Scriptures saved another defender of Ukraine," the volunteer added.

Senior lieutenant of the medical service from the 93rd OMBr Kholodnyi Yar Roman Hryadyl reported on another case of a miraculous rescue on Facebook.

A military medic says he saved a defender with a shrapnel wound in the neck. A fragment hit the rosary that our soldier wore around his neck: "A fragment from a shot from an enemy Mokshan tank hit exactly where our soldier was wearing a rosary. The bead of the rosary itself melted into the red-hot enemy metal but survived the impact. The fragment did not cause serious injuries to our warrior, despite the fact that there are large vessels and nerves passing through that area, damage to which can lead to death in a few seconds."

Roman Hryadyl noted: "I heard from many who were in the war that there is no God. They said that if God existed, he would not have allowed everything that is happening in the war. And when I went to the war, I also had fears about despair. But these fears of mine turned out to be in vain. Just as here, in the war, the presence of God's Hand is felt very clearly and acutely."
