Cures colds: a recipe for blackcurrant jam with ginger

Currant is a very healthy berry. The Shuba website reports that even our grandmothers used it as an anti-inflammatory and cold remedy.

Ingredients:

Currants - 1 kg

Sugar - 700 g

Ginger - 200 g

The method of preparation:

1. Rinse the currants, remove the tails and pass through a meat grinder, add sugar and mix. Leave for 1 hour.

2. Grate the ginger on a coarse grater.

3. Bring the currants and sugar to a boil, remove the foam and cook, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes over low heat. Add the prepared ginger and cook for another 15 minutes.

4. Pour the jam into sterilized jars and seal with boiled lids.
