How to grow huge and beautiful roses: life hack with potatoes

Roses are a great gift for any occasion. Men often spend a lot of money on flowers to please their women. However, cut flowers are not able to live a long life. If you want to save money and give your precious person a rose that will bloom endlessly, we offer you this inventive method of growing roses at home.

What you will need:

• A rose;
• Potatoes;
• Drill;
• Pot;
• Soil;
• Plastic bottle.

How to grow a rose at home:

1. Choose the rose you want to plant and remove all the leaves from it;
2. Cut off the bud and the lower part of the rose stem, leaving about 3 cm;
3. Make an inclined cut on the stem at a 45-degree angle;
4. Take a potato and, using a drill, create a hole of such a size that the rose stem will fit in it; Remember that the hole should be small enough for the rose to stand steadily;
5. Take a pot and fill it with soil, creating a layer 5 cm thick;
6. Place the rose potato in the pot and fill it with soil;
7. Cut off the bottom of the plastic bottle and cover the rose stem with it using the top of the bottle; This will create a greenhouse effect;
8. To avoid pouring water on the stem itself, water the plant around the plastic bottle;
9. Now just hope that everything goes well and you get an impressive rose. The first shoots should appear fairly quickly. This trick can be used with any variety of roses. Surprise your family and friends with this wonderful gift.
