How to wake up in the morning and not go back to sleep

If you drink a lot of coffee or consume energy drinks in the morning but don't feel refreshed, this method may be useful for you.

British scientists have determined that approximately 50-70 million people have problems getting up early. Many people turn off their alarm clocks and continue to sleep, making them late for their plans. However, sleep expert, Suzanne Hanks, suggests trying a rather unconventional method that can help you get up earlier.

The method Hanks suggests is to put your phone or alarm clock at a distance from the bed in the room. The expert claims that this will allow your body to wake up a bit on the way to the alarm, and you will realize that it is time to get up.

The main advantage of this method is that you won't be able to simply turn off the alarm while lying in bed and not getting up, as is usually the case. Instead, as you walk to the alarm, your brain will be working harder, weighing the pros and cons of an extra 15 minutes of sleep. Getting out of bed abruptly also helps your body kick into high gear.

However, if you use this method and still don't feel refreshed in the morning, doctors recommend that you take a closer look at the causes of this condition. One possible reason may be insufficient sleep. An adult usually needs to sleep 8 to 10 hours a night, while many people get only 6 to 7 hours of sleep. Teenagers need even more sleep, about 10 to 12 hours a day. However, many of them don't get enough rest, hoping that their young bodies will recover quickly after the night.
