Four tips on how to prevent car glass from fogging up.
As the weather gets colder, a new inconvenience for motorists appears - all glass surfaces of the car (windshield and side windows) tend to fog up. Condensation is often caused by moisture inside the cabin.
Sante Plus experts have shared methods for preventing condensation on glass. Keeping your car's windshield clean is essential to ensure good visibility on the road while driving. The same goes for side windows and mirrors.
In addition to the anti-fogging products available on the market, other simple and affordable methods can be used on a daily basis to eliminate or reduce fogging, making it less intense and persistent.

Why does fog form on car windows?
Windshield fogging is one of the main challenges faced by motorists as the ambient temperature drops.
This condensation phenomenon occurs when the temperature and humidity levels inside and outside the car differ. Thus, hot moisture particles coming into contact with the cold windshield can lead to the accumulation of water droplets on the windshield in the form of fog. Such an increase in humidity can be caused by passengers' breathing, the presence of wet objects in the car, or leaky rubber seals on the doors, windshield, trunk door, or trunk. It is important to eliminate these factors for safe road travel.
How to prevent car windows from fogging up?
There is a simple yet unconventional trick to prevent car windows from fogging up, which should be accompanied by preliminary cleaning of the windshield, side windows, and sunroof.
1. Shaving foam as an effective anti-fogging solution.
Shaving foam is one of the most unexpected remedies for preventing windshield and window fogging. The method is simple: using a microfiber cloth, apply a handful of foam to evenly cover the entire surface of the glass. Leave it on for ten minutes, then wipe the window with another clean, dry cloth to remove the product. An almost transparent protective layer will remain on the surface for up to a month, preventing moisture from accumulating on the windshield and other car windows.
The most effective way to eliminate fogging is to use a car heater. Other simple methods can be equally effective for removing moisture inside the cabin.
2. Turn on the car's wipers. If you notice fogging on your windshield, you can remove it by simply turning on your car's wipers. Wait a few minutes for the system to clean the outside windows and remove the fogging. This is indeed one of the most practical and quickest ways to achieve this.
3. Open the car windows. Another easy way to prevent fog from forming on your windshield is to open your car windows. In fact, this simple gesture allows you to refresh the air inside the car and reduce the temperature difference between the car's exterior and interior.
4. Use silica gel bags. Finally, one cost-effective tip for removing windshield fog is to place silica gel packets on the dashboard. In fact, this product effectively absorbs moisture and prevents a fogged windshield. You can use a cup or a small plastic container to hold the product. However, silica gel packets should be kept out of the reach of small children. To reduce risks, place the product in sealed bags.
