In Ukraine, upon reaching a certain age, pensioners receive a supplement to their benefits. In particular, upon reaching 75 years of age, the additional amount is UAH 456 per month.

According to the current legislation, this mechanism also works for pensioners who have reached the age of 70 and 80. However, there is one caveat.

The allowance between the ages of 70 and 75 is UAH 300. However, after reaching the age of 75, the additional payments are not summed up but increase to the specified figure.

Thus, a pensioner will initially receive a supplement of UAH 300, and then the supplement will increase to UAH 456. The same applies to the age of 85. The previously established supplement will increase from UAH 456 to UAH 570.

However, the age supplement will be available only if the pension amount, including other allowances, increases, additional pensions, targeted financial assistance, indexations, etc. does not exceed UAH 10,340.

Earlier, the Government decided to pay pensions to Ukrainians even if they have no length of service. This will affect some categories of pensioners.
